Are you using a tripod? If you are I'd trying closing down your aperture as far as it will go. This will lengthen the time of the shot and give you that lovely silky look
Lovely shot. I've never tried this type of moving water so wouldn't know what to suggest, but I'm sneaky and I'm learning already from what Sam and Sue said!
Beautiful soft water shot Rosie, I'm afraid I'm no expert to offer advice apart from using a tripod if poss or as I did once down by the see a big flat rock, almost lost my camera to a freak wave though!!!
@gigiflower@swilde Excellent suggestion... from both of you. Thanks! I am laughing because planning for these shots is not my strength. Usually, I am balancing my camera on my knee, holding my breath, fingers crossed for results! :)
Nice shot. Neutral density ND filter will darken your photo so you can expose the photo longer. Also shoot as it is getting darker. Good work stretching your abilities. Be a student and try to copy photographs you like. Tripod
I don't know anything about the capabilities of Powershot cameras. Basically experiment with slower shutter speeds to see what results you like best for blurring water.
