Eads Bridge by rosiekerr

Eads Bridge

Opened in 1874, this bridge is still use today. It is an iconic structure on the St. Louis waterfront. The Mississippi River flows beneath. I had some time at lunch, so off to the riverfront! :) I appreciate your visits and comments, thank you.

I was just there on Sunday. Quite the history it's got. Great capture.

What a wonderful bridge capture! The Mississippi holds such magic for me -- when I was in grad school in Minneapolis, I used to walk my dog along the river, and daily drive across it.

@bill_fe Huge history... coincidental that you were just here! Hope you enjoyed your trip.
@swilde Thanks, Sue!
@taffy Thanks, Taffy. It is very fun for me to hear from all the 365-ers who live up and down the Mississippi. Such a touchstone for so many Midwesterners.

Awesome view of a great bridge. I saw the Mississippi when I was in New Orleans on my last trip to the US, it was an amazing sight.
