The Memory Tree

I shot this ancient tree in a park... it was only once I saw the image off camera, that I noticed all the etchings from couples through time (in the bluish part of the trunk). This park has been around since the 1800's, so who knows how far back this tree's memory reaches?

We have a tree in our hamlet with initials scrawled on the trunk from the 1940s. Nice find.
