The London experience continues... this is the Queen's House, Greenwich, as seen from the Royal Observatory, up the hill. Queen Elizabeth I was born in this house. Most delightfully, we stood on the Prime Meridian, ground zero for Greenwich Mean Time. Mecca, for the navigation obsessed. Obviously, the City of London is in the background. So is the Thames.
We are walking around like mad, figuring out the Tube, have ridden some buses, and are enjoying this wonderful city very much.

@ukandie1@graemestevens@onewing That is very delightful to know... I have enjoyed my UK/NZ/Aussie 365 friends, so this is a very fun journey to experience.
Beautiful late afternoon light! I never got to Greenwich in the autumn, so never saw this view without lots of people enjoying themselves on the grassy lawns between the observatory and the Queen's house. And the last time I was there in the spring of 2004, the Queen's House was covered with scaffolding. Thanks for bringing back my memories of my own time in England. :-)
@shepherdmanswife Thanks! We took the train up to Edinburgh today, past your beautiful country. :) I could see people walking their dogs, off leash (!), in the fields. It looked like your family's habit, too. A lovely place.
