I went down to Fair St. Louis, in a vain attempt to see some fireworks. Totally fogged in, but the fog gave some interesting backlit effects to our iconic statute of St. Louis, standing atop Art Hill, in front of the Art Museum. @taffy may laugh, but I simply had to use the detested tripod. :)
I was pretty far away, so this night time shot gave my telephoto lens quite the workout.
Anyway, thanks very much for visiting. Happy Fourth of July, to those in the US who celebrate. :)

Yikes, don't mention the dreaded t-word. I have one, but it so rarely sees the light of day it blinks when I take it out. But this shot was well worth it Rosie, you've captured those rays of light behind St Louis very well. Gotta fav it.
This is wonderful, the backlight is fantastic, a fav for me. I don't detest my tripod, but I have to admit I rarely use it. Too much effort to lug it about, and it is not exactly big or heavy compared to some!
