I made my first Lightroom slideshow this evening, imported it into YouTube and linked it here, for a trip down memory lane. I am blushing about how long it took. ;)
I have not loved 2016, but I have loved many of the photos that I took this year. Also, I have continued to learn a great deal about this absorbing hobby which we all enjoy so much.
Thanks for taking time to view it. I picked Yo Yo Ma, as the shortest piece of classical music I could find. :)
Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2017 to everyone in this lovely community, along with their cherished ones and friends.
10/1/2020: Finished year 7 (!), with continuing gratitude towards this amazing community. Based in St. Louis, MO. Regular worker-bee and self-taught photography dilettante....
What a year you had in photos. I continue to think you have an impressive eye for composition -- so many in your slideshow that I would be so happy to have taken!
@taffy The Lightroom slideshow was "on the list." Glad I got some time this evening to concentrate on it. I feel the same way about your collage, too. :)
Wow! What a stunning collection of images and accompanied by the gorgeous Bach Cello Suite no 1. Double fav! If I were to give you a challenge it might just be to take a shot which isn't at all beautiful!
I recognize so many as past favorites. I think one drawback to 365 site is the fact that you can't look at a photo full screen on the black background. The slideshow really showed your photos off to their full beauty.
Oh props to you Rosie! I started out trying to do exactly this & gave up as I seems to have no idea how to get it all together! This is a brilliant legacy for the year with some breathtaking shots!! Do you have any hints for me on the youtube side?
@ltodd Sure! Bear in mind, this was my first attempt at all of this. On the slideshow side, it helped to gather all my images in a folder and import them into LR together. From there, I clicked on "slideshow" and fumbled around thereafter. Let me know if you need more idea on this side.
After I created the slideshow, I exported it to my desktop. I saved it as a video. It should have (if memory serves) an .mp4 extension. Previewing it helpful, at this point. ;)
Once you have your video ready to go, off to YouTube. I believe that I used a Google ID to sign in, but I believe that you just have to create an account. They are very inclusive. ;) After that, I simply uploaded the video. Done. I hope this helps. Ask me more questions, as you need. No problem.
Great -- well worth 90 seconds of my time. I hope you have some of these printed and on the wall -- some great images in there. Congrats on a good year.
What a wonderful collection of photos you have from 2016! You have a great eye Rosie and your work is beautiful! Love the slide show - I must investigate! Fav!
