Notre Dame Basilica by rosiekerr

Notre Dame Basilica

The University of Notre Dame has a basilica on campus (final tourist stop #3 of my South Bend tourist-fest, after the Studebaker Museum and the historic home featured in previous days). Couldn't resist, so here you go. There is one more coming from the university admissions hall, then we are done.

I appreciate the visits, as always.
beautiful composition, what detailed architecture!

It's almost surreal it's so beautiful, did you have a wide angle for this or is the church just very long?

@clover7 I used a wide angle. 9-18 mm in a micro 4/3 format. I can't figure out how to make my settings and exif data import to the site.

How awesome is this image. Great composition of that lovely detailed architecture. Wonderful leading line down to the alter. Very impressive.

Gosh, this is one ornate church. Your low pov gives a good impression of the height of that lofty ceiling.

Wow, absolutely fantastic

@clover7 Oh, also, some perspective straightening involved with Photoshop. The wide angle lens makes the pillars on the sides lean in. If you have any questions, please ask.
