Shoes To Die For

These are Dorothy's ruby slippers, which Judy Garland wore during the making of "The Wizard of Oz."

Of course, Dorothy snatched them from the feet of the Wicked Witch of the East, on the suggestion of Glinda (The Good Witch of the South) after Dorothy's house fell upon her, crushing her, after being uprooted by a tornado.

Newly refurbished and on display at the Smithsonian Museum of American History.

"There's no place like home." :)

Thanks for taking time to visit and comment - I do appreciate it.
