Song Thrush by rosiekind

Song Thrush

I don't often see thrushes in the garden and just happened to see this one as I walked up the garden path. I couldn't really tell what it was with my naked eye but when I zoomed in just had to take a pic of this lovely little bird. I'm sorry but it's all birds today as we have had a lot of activity in the garden following a visit by the magpie!
Super capture,Rosie! Don't see many song thrushes these days.I used to see them quite often ,smashing snails' shells on a stone.

Beautiful photo. The song thrush looks poised on that twig ready to take off.

@carolmw I turfed some snails out of their hiding place which is probably what attracted the thrush!

@netkonnexion @judithg @quietpurplehaze @whitelily @grammyn Thanks everyone and Judith I don't think the magpie got away with anything. I've seen one of the babies being fed on the lawn this morning so hope that they are all safe
