Old Curiosity Shop 013

We went to Ampthill today to visit the shop that sells woodburners but because a friend had called round to show us his new classic car, we were late going. Sadly, the shop closed at 4pm and we arrived at 4.10! There were people inside and I was hoping that when they came out, they might at least let us have a brochure to take away but I waited and waited.............In the end we decided to have a look in the Antiques Emporium opposite and we were amazed at how much stuff they had spread over 3 floors and a basement. We didn't get round to the basement before that closed at 5pm. We shall have to go back for another look as it is quite amazing! I think for this pic I had my white balance on warm setting (didn't use any flash but ISO was 800 by mistake) and the sharpness was +3, contrast +1 and saturation 0. Trouble is I have taken so many pics playing with settings today, I may have got this wrong. Anyway, I liked the warmth of this pic
Wonderful collection of curios!!

It looks like a real treasure trove. Glad you had a look round before it closed. There's also a woodstove place in Fotheringhay which only opens part of the week. Peter thinks it may be called the Fotheringhay Forge.

@carolmw @busylady @quiltincats @welcometocarolworld We went back for a second look at the weekend. There is just so much to see. I'm glad that I've found a way of taking pics inside without flash because I liked getting the warm tones which flash would have ocmpletely wiped out
