This was taken looking at the roof of the Surfin Cafe where I have been with Steve this afternoon because I had an appointment in Biggleswade. Wagtails do keep jumping about but I managed to get him looking quite sweet for a second! I visited one of my clients today who will be 90 on Sunday and she has nobody else who bothers about her. I suspect that she won't get any cards or pressies so I took her a bunch of flowers and a card. I thought she might not have a vase either so I took that with me too and I was right she didn't have a vase. Bless her she really hasn't got anything. She was so pleased and it gave me real pleasure to have brought her a little bit of happiness. It is so sad that there are people in the world who just don't have anyone in their lives. She's probably not everyone's cup of tea but I like her and she does seem to have spirit in her. I have been helping her deal with Eon over a huge estimated electricity bill of £1,200 and they have treated her appallingly! I haven't finished with them yet!
What a heart-warming story, and so kind of you to make a special effort to visit on her birthday. It's a lovely 'warming' photo too with the golden glow behind. The ten people who viewed your photo before me don't know what they missed!
A lovely capture,Rosie!! How nice, the lady's got someone like you to look out for her. We've just changed from EON,through the "Which" scheme,as they were charging such high rates!!
@busylady@carolmw@samr Thanks for your kind comments. I love my job and I meet such nice people. Not everyone has the time for older people but they have lived through such difficult times such as the war and they still manage to carry on despite probably not having had the priviledges we've had.
