Jackdaw

We have lots of Jackdaws in Cardington where I work and when I finished today, I knew that I wouldn't have a lot of time because today is the Sainsbury's shop. I thought I would take some pics before I left the office and this is one of them. I did take some pics of cows and a calf in the field at the back but I just couldn't resist posting the bird pics. Perhaps I could use them as fillers another day if we have some bad weather because today it's all birds in my albums! Jackdaws actually make good pets because they are great at mimicking people. I think they are great little characters

I agree. Just love their blue eyes. One of my favourite birds. Every year they build on their nest in a redundant chimney. They just throw more and more sticks down until they have a platform. Funny birds. Nicewly captured

Great jackdaw shot, I love them, I think you can teach them to talk! Beware of your jewellery though, they are thieves for sparkly things!
