Two by Two

These little fellows decided to stay still just long enough for me to take this. At times I just wish my camera would focus a bit quicker as it is so easy to lose track of birds while you are focusing. I think I was just lucky to get 2 goldfinch together like this. I took this one on the way home as I stopped to buy some natural yoghurt from Summerhill Farm Shop in Cardington (another advert) but it is nice to support a local shop sometimes but it is a lot more expensive! I had been to Ampthill park and taken pics in freezing fog and -2.5 degrees and was pretty cold when I got back in the car. Thank goodness for heated leather seats! By the time I stopped to take this I had thawed out
Such pretty birds and a nice capture. I noticed the niger seed feeder swinging today but didn't see any finches.

Lovely - I thought of you today on my walk with Jinks as some blue tits were making such a noise in a tree but no hope of capturing them as they did not keep still for a second!

Are these the 'Two little Dicky birds' from the children's song? I'm sure they're great chums, the way they're so close on those branches!
