I'm uploading early today as I have to go to a meeting for work tonight. I have been to the inquest of our dear friend who died last September and quite honestly it showed up how poorly the police handled it! However, it looks as though (from the Pathologist's report) she had had a few whiskies and may have had too much and slipped and fell into the pool. The Pathologist said that she had died from immersion which means that she had a cardiac arrest when she fell in the water due to the cold so would have died within a minute. There are some things which cannot really be explained but we shall now have to let it go. I didn't go to work as I wanted to get out into the fresh air and clear my head. This little fellow certainly cheered me up along the cycle track as he kindly stood on a low branch about 5ft away which is why I got such a lovely shot. His song was so loud and clear that nobody could feel sad if they heard it

Nice vibrant close up! I see the focal length was 360mm. What lens do you have? My longest is a 70-300mm which I use for motorsport photography. Can't go in as close as this, though.
@pistonbroke I have a bridge camera - Nikon Coolpix P510 which has 42 x optical zoom. It's an amazing camera and when it is on full zoom the focal distance is 360mm which is what I had when I took this. Even though I was only about 6ft away from him, it brought him up so clearly which made for a great shot. The robin, I have to say, was very obliging and I thanked him afterwards
