Sparrow

They used to be so common but sparrows are few and far between round here. I saw this one in the tree when I went out for my walk today

I agree I tend to ignore the sparrow in search of more colourful birds, but like you say they are not so common ! Great shot/

Nicely captured and good to see leaves appearing! House sparrows are very common here, dozens in the hedge and we usually have a family nesting in our roof!

Nice shot. We used to be able to count 30 or 40 at a time a few years ago, but in the last few years their numbers have dwindled so much that we are lucky to see 10 at a time.
