This baby thrush had fallen into a bucket in the back garden. The bucket had another bucket inside it which was lodged on its side and poor baby thrush had slipped into the bottom. Mummy thrush was trying to feed her inside the bucket so I scooped her out and put her on the path. She then flew straight into the back door of the garage and landed on the path - poor thing! Anyway, Mummy kept flying onto the garage gathering bugs from the moss growing on the tiles but she didn't go near baby while I was hanging round with my camera so I had to leave baby there and go to work. However, when I came home, baby had gone so I assume that everything was alright and Mummy came back for her. I'm always worried that a cat might come round and get the little birds but fortunately we don't have too many cats round here. They only seem to come round at night
I am on tenter hooks at this time of the year. I hate seeing lost baby birds. I hang them in baskets near to where they were found - usually does the trick
