This was taken in Priory Country Park before the rain tipped it down! I didn't leave work until 4pm as I had met the Social Worker at my clients house to discuss whether she was coming out of respite care and to make plans with him. I had also phoned the GP surgery before I left home this morning to find out when the doctor was going to visit only to be told that they had arranged for visit for today. Why couldn't they have told me that on Thursday or rung my client to say that was happening? I must say I was furious. Anyway the doctor who arrived was new and was OK but hasn't prescribed any antidepressants for him as she says that he is just in the "adjustment phase" of coping with his wife who has dementia but she did say that someone would visit again next week to assess his mental state! It has been decided to keep the lady in respite for at least one more week so that proper arrangements can be put in place to support them both.
I really needed a walk this afternoon to clear my head. I'm on day 1 of my fast for this week (5:2 diet) and I think my stomach thought my throat had been cut, as I didn't get my tiny lunch until gone 3pm!
