I think this is a whitethroat

I saw this little fellow when I went for a walk along Wood Lane this afternoon. I think it is probably a young whitethroat. There weren't many birds about although the birds were singing in my garden when we returned from Wyboston Lakes where we had been for the wedding.

The wedding was brilliant. Italians are so welcoming and we met lots of family members who had come over from Italy as well as family who lives round and about England. It's a good job we stayed overnight as we didn't get to bed until 1am although others stayed up until 3.45 am! Wyboston Lakes is a good venue for a wedding and very comfortable to stay overnight. There was a free bar so you can imagine that we were pleased we didn't have to drive! The food was excellent and I still feel full from it all. We had a lovely breakfast this morning before returning home. All the family were there in the dining room and it was just such a wonderful atmosphere. It was just a shame about the weather yesterday because of course it brightened up this afternoon and the sun came out! Why couldn't it have done that yesterday?!!!!
Lovely capture of the bird. It sound like you've had a great time the last few of days.

Lovely bird. The wedding sounds like fun except for the weather...though I doubt if dampened their spirits at all.

Oh what a shame about the weather. Yes I've heard that Wyboston Lakes is a good venue for a wedding. Love this little bird - he looks so happy right at the top of the tree.
