What a cute little dog this is. I met him in Ampthill Park this afternoon as I went for a quick walk before the light went and before it rained/hailed again. The weather has been awful today with thunder,, lightning, hail stones and rain but I was lucky to get probably an hour around Ampthill Park after I met my friends for lunch. We used to work together within the Bedfordshire & Luton Safeguarding Children team for the NHS. We meet about every 6 weeks for lunch in Flitwick which is a central point for us although Jan now lives on the Fens.
I spent more than 3 hours this morning with Jonathan from the Camera Club while he was showing me how to use Elements and although I've written down things he was showing me, I realise that it just takes absolutely ages to edit each pic so these are JPEGs that I'm posting yet again. How anyone on here manages to find time to edit RAW files each day, I will never know although it probably gets easier, the more you do it and I've only learned a few basic things but realise that there's a hell of a lot more! It's probably OK if you don't work and you spend all day doing nothing but taking pics and editing them. I thought I had shot one card with RAW on it this afternoon but realised when I got home that I hadn't - silly me! That meant that I took a couple of pics in the house which I started to edit but didn't get a finished result to put on 365 so I will have to try again another day.
He is a cutie....I shoot RAW and edit....it doesn't have to take forever, just depends what you want to do with it. I still mostly just do basic editing as I am not trying to change the picture radically...but sometimes I want to bump the exposure up or down (can't do that with jpeg) and do noise reduction as well which can really help make the picture look better.
