This is Bo Bo and I met him down the cycle track this afternoon. He belongs to a lady in the village who is involved with running markets around the region. They have a fantastic lorry yard and supply fruit and veg on market days having great stalls laden with lovely fresh produce.
I had walked along to Balls Lane where the lorry yard is to collect some horse manure for the garden as my vegetable patch next year will not produce unless I give it something to eat now! I got fed up asking Steve to run me up there in the van so decided to take a wheelbarrow (of which we have many!) and collect it myself. It is quite a good walk and when the barrow was laden with 2 bags of manure, it was quite heavy. I had to stop 5 or 6 times as my arms were nearly hanging off! I wouldn't mind but Steve will be quite happy to eat the veg out of the garden and he's always nagging me about clearing the leaves. Oh well I've spread it over my plot and dug it in as well and now I feel totally cream crackered! Out for a pizza tonight so at least I won't have to cook
Well done you! I also did some garden work this morning - went to the allotment to pick some parsnips and leeks and also got rid of some weeds on the asparagus patch. Next job is the manure spreading!
