Even Tena Lady couldn't control this old girl's incontinence
Well that's what Steve said! He has been replacing the part that fixes on the block which holds the water and antifreeze (can't remember what he said - LOL) but he showed me a bit that he had modified to stop the incontinence because every time he drove round the village, he was boiling up because the water had leaked out from somewhere. He's a clever old devil and drilled out some bolts and made some new threads and replaced the bolts with stainless steel (?) ones as the old ones had rusted in the cast iron (?) block? I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to things like this although I nod and agree that it will be much better!
Steve has had this car 50 years and it's 80 years old. His father bought it for him to run around the farm opposite (which is now a cul-de-sac) when he was 13 but it doesn't need an MOT now.

Lovely shot, and nice story. That's one of the beauties of these old cars, they are very simple and easy to repair, but if something breaks you can just use your ingenuity and make something else to do the job instead. Not like the modern ones that will only work if you get exactly the right very expensive bit.
