We've had rather a lot of excitement today involving our neighbours next door. When we went to Sainsbury's for breakfast, we noticed a people carrier parked right on the corner in rather a dangerous position and there were 2 women there. We thought it odd but one of the women waved us past and we saw our neighbour's dog at the back of the vehicle with the other woman. We thought one of them looked like Debbie our neighbour as she had blonde shoulder length hair but thought that maybe she was Debbie's sister and that they might be away. Anyway, when we got back from Sainsbury's, Debbie came round and asked whether we had seen their dog (a husky) as he had gone missing. Imagine how we felt as the women we saw may have been stealing her dog.
I phoned the Police and also sent an email to our Safer Neighbourhood Team and NHW Coordinator but the Police didn't seem very interested and said that a lady had reported a dog running loose in the village. Anyway, to cut a long story short, the dog had apparently got out (very unusual) and had been running across the road. After putting descriptions on Facebook, someone contacted someone else and they finally got in touch with my neighbour and said that they had taken the dog to Wood Green Animal Shelter. The good thing is that they have now him back and we are now in our neighbour's good books. Perhaps they might think about cutting the trees! I won't hold my breath on that one though. I'm just glad they've got the dog back as I posted a pic of him on here a few weeks ago. I'll find the link but he's lovely
