To the right of this shot is a fish restaurant called El Bigote. Senor Ferrier the owner not only catches the fish fresh each day in the boat shown in the picture but he is also the chef. If you want to eat one of his amazing fish dishes, you need to go there to book a table and then go back another day to eat as it is always fully booked. To get to the restaurant from Cala Mastella, you can either walk along the well worn rocky path or drive further round from the beach down very narrow winding roads. The beach itself which I will post in my Bits & Bobs album is small and very underused as it is very difficult to get to by road as there are sheer drops either side and it's more or less a single track road. Cars driving up the hill have priority so if you are unfortunate to meet anyone coming up, you need to reverse quite a way up the steep hill to let them pass. I found it quite hairy and I'm glad I wasn't driving! Steve relishes this kind of travel but I'm a bit more nervous!!!
Sorry for my lack of commenting over the past week and my rather uninteresting posts but I have been relying on my phone camera while we have been away. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!!!
Lovely view...... I haven't been to Ibiza since the 1980's & remember driving round the island on an old moped !! But still recognise those small inlets......
