Little pink tum by rosiekind

Little pink tum

This is a filler from the other day as it is cold and very grey today with spots of rain so I didn't feel like going out for a walk. I saw this little long tailed tit down Wood Lane and I am finding that Wood Lane seems to have the most birds and many different species so why go anywhere else?!

When I walked along the cycle track yesterday, I didn't see as many birds or as many species so I think at the moment I shall stick with Wood Lane but of course, that could change! I have taken some shots through the kitchen window but they are not particularly interesting - just some blackbirds, a dunnock, robin and of course the naughty little squirrels. I had to fill their feeder up again this morning as they are getting through such a lot of nuts. The trouble is they keep taking them away and hiding them - usually in the lawn which is now covered in holes much to Steve's disgust!

Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.

We bought some more seed today ...high energy stuff, so expensive I think we spend a fortune on feeding the birds! Never get any benefit because I haven't got a zoom lens & our bird table is off set from the kitchen window so I don't get a full on view of it. Are you going to do the survey for the RSPB this weekend Rosie....how can you count birds, we have hundreds that feed on the ground, table etc , they all fly up then come back. You are suppose to count them for an hour & look for the different sorts I believe. We haven't registered yet , I think it will be hard work, worse than counting sheep!
