Fieldfares

It has been a lovely sunny day today with blue skies and just so different from yesterday - thank goodness! As I walked along Wood Lane, I didn't see the stonechats which is why I walked all the way up to Hill Farm but I saw a flock of fieldfares. This is just 3 of them. Among them I saw the odd redwing too. However, they are all part of the thrush family.

Neat looking birds and quite large in comparison to others...They blend in really well with their surroundings and I bet they are hard to spot!
