Greenfinches are an endangered species now as they suffered from some diseases and they haven't really recovered their numbers. I was really pleased to see this little chap as I don't get them in my garden anymore which is a shame as I used to get loads of them on the feeders. I know that the chaffinches suffered from bumble foot and I'm not sure whether the greenfinches suffered from that or some other disease. I shall have to google and find out. There seems to be plenty of chaffinches about so I think it might be something else.
It was lovely to see blue skies and sunshine this morning as yesterday was a terrible day with heavy rain.

This is a lovely shot Rosie. I was really interested about greenfinches because we used to get lots in the garden,like you, but now we don't get any and I didn't know why. Thank you.
