Looking haughty by rosiekind

Looking haughty

I've been to Cambridge this morning as I wanted to get some candid shots of people on the market, etc. I didn't do all that well really I spent 2 hours travelling and an hour in Cambridge so it wasn't really worthwhile but it is Friday 13th! Anyway, I was on a mission really to buy a D5300 body in John Lewis's but they didn't have just the body so I've now ordered it on line and can collect it after 2pm tomorrow. However, I won't collect it until Monday because I shall have to smuggle it in so that Steve doesn't realise I've bought yet another camera! I just want to make sure that I have an alternative when I go to Bavaria (6 weeks today) as it would be terrible if I traveled all that way and my camera packed up and it's not impossible as the sensor went on my previous D7100 after 11 months.

This afternoon I went for a long walk along Wood Lane as the sun was shining but the wind was cold. I didn't take my gloves and my hands were frozen when I got home.

Anyway, I'm prattling! This pheasant was in a field down the lane and I thought he looked rather haughty in this shot.

Thank you for all your kind comments and Favs. I never know which one to put in my main album and often people like the alternatives I post which is what happened yesterday. I liked the kestrel best but you all seemed to like the gull with his legs down!
What a stunning capture! Huge fav!

I like your prattling :) You have a good story to tell!

Yes it's the cock of his head I think that gives him the look. I bet you're looking forward to going to Bavaria.

Lovely capture of the pheasant. My new camera discreetly appears much the same as the old one so as long as I don't produce them both at the same time It won't be noticed!
March 14th, 2015
@thistle No my new one won't be noticed unless he sees them together either so it's a good job that nobody will be any the wiser!
March 14th, 2015
@busylady Yes I am but now Steve is saying he doesn't know what he will do when I'm gone and that he will be lonely!
