The busy blue tits by rosiekind

The busy blue tits

It has been a really busy morning for the blue tits because as you can see, the one on the right is taking nesting material - I wondered where? So I booted up my laptop in the conservatory and plugged into the nest box receiver and lo and behold, there is a lot more nesting material in there than there was the other day! The blue tits have got everything they need in my garden, nuts, suet balls, meal worms and all kinds of seed including sunflower hearts and special blue tit seed complete with a nest box and nesting wool. Plus of course they have 3 bird baths to choose from. They would be foolish not to nest in my new box, wouldn't they?!!! It looks as though it has paid off and I should have some good videos hopefully when they have laid their eggs and feed their young. I am really excited about that and I can't wait.

The weekend might have started badly due to humans (namely Traffic Camera Cars) but it's now getting better all the time. I hope everyone is enjoying the Easter break and thank you for your kind comments and Favs.
What an industrious pair of birds. Great capture.

That little one is going to have a great little nest for her family. I have been putting the lint from our clothes dryer out for the birds to use for nests, and they are loving it. It disappears in a hurry.

I put dog fur in a block feeding container. They are just starting to take it. What a great idea to have a camera in the nesting box. Did the box come with it or is it something that you have rigged up. Lucky birds, you spoil them, but then again I do too! Great shot.

@shepherdmanswife Father Christmas brought me the camera nesting box which came complete with transmitters so that I can connect it with my laptop although you can connect them to TVs too- it's a wireless one so although it wasn't cheap, it will be great to see the outcome of the nest building.

It sounds like a haven for blue-tits in your garden Rosie. We have plenty of activity from the blue-tits but I don't think they're using our nesting box this year. However, we do have a video which we set up the first year and it's very exciting.
