Yesterday I saw a pair of red kites soaring above when I was in the car and although I had my camera with me, Steve was reluctant to stop. Anyway, I hoped that they might soar over Wood Lane and I was lucky today as I saw what I thought was 2 of them but they were a long way away and although I took some shots of them, they weren't particularly good. As I was walking back, I suddenly noticed this one soaring above me so I nearly fell over trying to point Big Bertha straight up towards the heavens LOL. This one doesn't really do justice to the lovely blue sky we have had as I had to tweak the contrast when I got home and it's washed the sky out a bit. That is the trouble with wildlife photography on manual settings as one minute I am pointing my camera at something in the darkness of the trees and the next minute I'm shooting straight into a sunlit sky. Never mind I was just pleased to get some shots without the trees getting in the way!
I'm off to Camera Club tonight so will need to catch up later as it's early dinner but thank you for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
