Imagine a walk along Wood Lane
The birds singing in perfect harmony
A robin singing his melodious song
And blackbird trilling birdie birdie
The song thrush in all her glory
Her melody so changeable but easily recognised
I could be in a world apart
Just a whisper of the wind in the trees
And the hum of bees as they find their nectar
I could be in heaven but I tell myself
No, you haven’t been dreaming
This is the perfect escape from the humdrum toil
And the sound of rumbling traffic

Every time I walk along Wood Lane I want to write a poem so I quickly wrote one today.
@esox Thanks for the link - I hadn't seen or heard of this. I have been recording birdsong on my phone to use with audio visual presentations I am making as I belong to the AV group of my Camera Club
