I saw the yellowhammer where I saw him last year with his nest which is why I looked out for him because I thought they would be back. Birds often return to their nesting ground if it has been proven to be satisfactory and brambles make an ideal nesting site as not many people could cope with the prickles. He obviously has young in a nest because he was back and forth as I stood watching. Actually, I think this is a female as it doesn't have any orangey bits which the males have. I
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I think we are off to the Kite Festival in Bedford which they have each year. It is windy so the kites should fly without too many problems although gusts could cause a bit of tangling I would have thought.
