At least this shot is of real deer! They walk around the grounds of Chateaux de Bresse and they are lovely creatures. Strangely we saw one of them with fluffy antlers that were obviously bothering the deer. He kept trying to rub them off and I've never seen antlers like that. I must google and find out why.
Great shot. When the deer grow new horns, they have a coating of velvet, so it is called, and they go through a period of trying to rub it off. You can see it on the bushes and trees in the woods, where they have scraped.
