I could not believe my eyes today when I saw 2 red kites eating what looked like a rabbit in a field down Wood Lane. I have never seen them on the ground in the middle of a field before and because they have terrific eyesight, I only managed to get a few shots of them on the ground and then they flew off in different directions. This was obviously done to fool me so that I couldn't get them both together. They are huge birds and magnificent to look at.
I should have picked up my new camera today but for some reason there is a delay and I should get it by tomorrow. I jolly well hope so as I'm really missing my D7100 but this time I am going to have the upgraded D7200 and I have paid for an extra year's warranty so will be able to have it for 3 years as John Lewis always give 2 years anyway.
