I deliberately parked my car a long way from the town centre when I visited Bedford this morning so that I could have a walk along the Embankment to see what photo opportunities there were. I took my camera with the 50mm lens as I hardly use it and thought I would challenge myself to see how many photos I could take with it. I managed nearly 200! This was one of them. The swan was very friendly and came up really close to me because I think he thought I might have something tasty to eat but sadly I didn't have anything.
Last night at Camera Club I was absolutely delighted to have one of my images held back for the judge to see again (for the first time). Out of 74 images, 6 were held back and although I didn't win the competition, I was delighted with the Judge's comments as he said that it was a really nice composition with really nice lighting and no blown out highlights. He also mentioned the nice blue sky and it was a picture of Roxton Chapel as the competition was entitled "rural architecture" for the Architect's Trophy. The chapel that I have featured on here before is thatched so it is a really quaint building with a pretty garden and a path leading up to the door.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments and Favs and for all the new people who follow me. I really appreciate your support and hope that you all enjoy 365 as much as I do. Photography really has become a real obsession for me and I never tire of looking for new things to capture.
