The brook is a lovely peaceful place to walk and this is the far end which is not where I see the kingfisher. I walked along down there to see whether I could see the grey wagtails.
I have been to the hospital Eye Clinic today and after having a scan, they have diagnosed my problem as vitreomacular traction which in laymen's terms means that the jelly behind my eye is being pulled to one side causing a hole in my macular - I think I've got that right. Anyway, they are referring me to Addenbrookes Hospital to see another Specialist who will decide whether the problem may sort itself out or whether I need an operation to correct it. The good news is that they have said that I can fly as I am due to fly to Chicago on 30 April and the doctor even said that the change in air pressure in the cabin might actually make it go back to make it right. That was my main worry and I am so relieved that it is not acute macular degeneration as iit may have made me go blind.
Thanks for all your good wisshes - I will continue to use my magnifying glass for close work while I have my contact lenses in which I need to drive and I'm off to Camera Club tonight.
It sounds like things are working out well for you with your eye problem; I hope that it is corrected by itself very soon! Your pic is a beautiful, peaceful scene!
Lovely shot. Good news with your eye problems and always reassuring to know it is fixable. Good too that it won't interfere with your holiday. Hope all goes well.
