My very good friend Sarah @pixiemac phoned this morning to ask whether I fancied a walk with her along Wood Lane and of course I said yes. It was lovely to be able to see my friend the stonechat as I don't see him very often and Sarah hasn't seen one before so it was a first for her. We had a lovely walk in the morning before deciding to go down the brook after lunch to find out whether we could see my friend the kingfisher. After a long walk up the brook and on the way back, we saw him flying low over the water as a dog was coming along the bank. Shame we didn't get any shots of him but we shouldn't have been too disappointed as we also got shots of the red kite along Wood Lane too.
