I have been out for a walk today as the sun has been shining between the grey clouds. I didn't see much along Wood Lane and thought I had better turn back when the clouds turned really black. However, I did manage to get a shot through the kitchen window of this goldfinch who kindly posed on the stick that is in the ground not far from the feeders that hang from the washing line. He was waiting his turn as the finches all seem to come for their lunch together. Birds seem to have meal times similar to ours.

Super shot. Yes the do seem to have similar mealtimes. I have just fed our family of kookaburras, the turn up every morning for breakfast. Sometimes if they haven't found enough food during the day they occasionally turn up as it starts to go dark too.
