I heard a sound I could not see
But to persue it was to be
A fluttering in my ear I heard
And then I found, not a little bird
But a butterfly trying to go free
I scooped him up into my hands
Hoping that he would land
Somewhere safe and feel alive
And like me, manage to survive
The release of being captive so long
I was glad to hear that imaginary gong
When 7 days were up for me
Like the butterfly, I now feel free
Thank you to everyone who has wished me well following my eye operation. At the moment I don't have any sight in my left eye which is my reading eye but at last I can sit with my head up and walk around (although I am bumping into things occasionally). I'm sure that all your thoughts and prayers have helped in my recovery and my special thanks go to Sarah @pixiemac and Pam @pamknowler for their continued help and support.
What a beauty Rosie - one of so many in that butterfly house. What a lovey memory of our time in Chicago!! So pleased you are up and about today and no longer have to have your face in that horrible contraption!! Lets hope your sight in the eye returns quickly so that you can put this horrible experience behind you!!
Beautiful words and a beautiful butterfly to go with them. Glad to hear that you are getting better albeit slowly. May the rest of your recovery be smooth
@rickster549@pcoulson@dyanstevens Thanks for your kind words of encouragement and Favs. It will take about 4 weeks before I get my sight back so I shall just have to be patient
