My photos today were actually taken yesterday after I had already posted my images. It is a horrible grey, cold and wet day so I haven't been out and I'm still coughing well so thought I should stay in the warm. I think we have got the heating sorted out now by replacing various parts (good job Steve is good at plumbing as well as repairing cars).
Anyway, this goldfinch posed for me at the top of the tree after all his mates has disappeared!

Lovely shot, Rosie, I have loads of Goldfinch's around me, at night when they gather together in the trees, I am sure the charm has grown to around 100 birds. What I don't have is a nice high open perch to get a shot like this on.
