I don't know what he was saying by rosiekind

I don't know what he was saying

But I wrote this poem while I sat and enjoyed the peace on the bank of the brook

My love of nature
The hum of the bees
Songs of the many birds
I could be a world away
The whistle of the kingfisher
Announcing his arrival
Not many yards away
And yet there is peace
Barking dog and laughter of the green woodpecker
I sit and wait for the kingfisher’s whistle
Knowing he will land for a few precious minutes
Camera remote ready
To get those images to take home and ponder
What nature provides, no evil can take away
Oh Rosie, what a gorgeous picture and a beautiful sentiment! Those insightful and touching words...so very you! This is lovely, and I feel your sentiment to my very depth!

What a beautiful scene you describe and have captured. No wonder you happily while away your time watching for bluey.

Great shot Rosie, they can be very elusive at times. You just have to spend time out there. At least you found an novel way to to pass the time as you awaited his return.
