After having a great morning down the brook yesterday, I thought I would try for another but alas, I think the kingfishers have fledged. I didn't see them anywhere but after sitting for over an hour, the male came along and perched on the high perch for just a second and he didn't have any fish with him. I didn't see the female at all so I can only conclude that they have fledged.
Anyway, the best photos I got today happened to be in my garden and this was one of them. I thought the female chaffinch looked pretty on the daffodil feeder. How I wish I had bought poppy ones as well as this is not very seasonal although they are bright and stand out well against the green background.
