Fieldfare

People probably don't think much of this bird as it's not as pretty as a robin, etc. but I love to hear the cackle of the fieldfares when they are in the area and today was the first time this year that I've seen a few together. I saw them along the cycle track and I haven't walked along there for ages either. I was hoping to see some goldfinches on the teasels but I was out of luck today.

Fieldfare are passerines and a member of the thrush family.

I love to see, and hear fieldfare. They used to pass through at this time of year at our other house but they never stayed around for long.
