I'm sorry but you are going to be swamped with kingfisher pics now because I just can't stop photographing him! I will put someone else sitting on this perch in one of my other albums just for a change.

Beautiful Rosie. You are so lucky to see this beautiful little bird. We some round here but they are always on the move and then if they stop they are the other side of the river! Fav
@thistle Yes I know I am very lucky as they inhabit a brook which is obviously not as wide as a river and I can set my camera up on a tripod using a remote to get shots of him. It does involve a lot of sitting and waiting though but I enjoy the listening to the birds while I sit there.
Lovely shot, I don't think I'd ever get tired of shots of this beautiful bird. I discovered yesterday that our kingfisher in the park has gone, hope it's just for a summer break!
