I was so pleased when I went down the brook this morning to see that the water level has dropped considerably. When I arrived on the bank, I found a hide in the place where I usually set up my camera and a man's voice said hello. Well that was a surprise! I asked him whether he had seen the kingfishers to which he replied yes so I was very relieved. However, he had been there since 7am and decided to go so I was pleased to have the place to myself again.
I had to wait nearly an hour before I saw any of my blue friends and I thought I had got some lovely photos when Bluey posed on the stick. However, my camera must have moved because all I got was the bottom of the stick with some grass but I didn't realise this until later after I had changed the focus because I thought he was sitting higher up. Not to worry I still managed to get a few shots and I also saw Mrs Bluey flying about too although I didn't get any photos of her.
I hope you won't get fed up but with the weather being nice and getting better every day, I may well be down the brook a lot this week.
Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciatedl
Is it possible to show too many KF pics & make those who don't see them in person envious? Hope you get good weather, Mr & Mrs posing nicely (Peregrines away from York Minster again today, I'm sure she goes shopping & he's at the pub!) and a lot of excellent photos to make me green with envy.
