As soon as I had set up my camera at the brook this afternoon, Bluey and Mrs K flew onto the perch together. I think I shall call Mrs K Betsy because I can't keep calling her Mrs K. I just loved this shot with his wing up and a huge fish in his beak. I only spent an hour at the brook but it was a very successful day and it made me very happy. Today I thought I would bring my 80-400mm lens out as I haven't used it much since I bought the 300mm prime with extenders and I am glad that I did because on the tripod, I don't have to carry it about so the weight and bulk don't matter. Perhaps I might get my 70-200mm out tomorrow as that never gets used and I keep wondering whether to trade it in.
