But it was far from it when you looked at the river and the lake was overflowing onto the footpath so that we couldn't cross. Neither Steve or I had boots on so we had to cut short out walk. On Friday we had managed to step over the water crossing the path but it had turned into quite a deep stream despite not having had any rain since Thursday. I think the river has been so flooded further upstream that it is still catching up with itself despite the lock, sluice and flood gates being fully opened. I took this photo looking across the main lake.

Nice capture Rosie. I'm staying away from the park for a while until the water and mud disappear. Trying to walk my usual paths is getting to dangerous and I don't want to end up landing on my bottom. fav
