This little long tailed tit came to the feeder all on his own today. I wonder where his mates were. Perhaps they were self isolating!
I have had some very sad news today. One of our friends was found dead at home by his daughter. He had emphysema and had been having a rough time so I think he had succumbed to that rather than Covid 19. So sad though as we won't be able to say our final goodbyes to him. He was always so reliable when he took us to the airport at any time of the day or night and he always made himself at home when he came round. He loved Bas and always went through to talk to him whenever he visited. It's such a shock to think that we shall never see him again but it must have been awful for his daughter. I know how that feels because my father died in my garden and it really cut me up when I went out to see why he was lying on the floor. I shall never forget it.

So sad to read this Rosie - such a shock for his daughter to find him. I remember you talking about him. He will be missed by you all but so sad you won't be able to say a proper goodbye.
