A lovely man who I nursed after his heart transplant and have kept in touch with for 30 years. Sadly Chris lost his life this month after having cancer. Jean, his widow wrote to tell me that it was going to be his funeral today and she asked me to toast him so I am doing something I don't usually do - I have toasted him this afternoon with a glass of cider. I saw this lovely red kite as I went for a walk along Wood Lane and thought of Chris who has winged his way straight to heaven. He was such a lovely man and always had such a great sense of humour. I read through all his letters after I heard about his death and it cheered me up no end. We usually write each Christmas and I have said to Jean that we must keep in touch. It was lovely that he managed to watch his children grow up and see his grandchildren so I am thankful for all the years his new heart gave him. Such a lovely man.
Thank you for all your kind comments and Favs and for getting yesterday's photo of Robbie and the pansies on PP. It is always much appreciated.
