He always appears in one tree or another and sings a little song for me. I am so grateful to him and he always cheers me up. We are now going into Tier 3 of the Covid restrictions so it becomes more depressing than ever. However, after so many encouraging messages yesterday which I am truly grateful for, I will keep positive. It's just a shame that I won't be able to see my daughter and her family over Christmas but she works at the hospital, and with my own health problems, I daren't mix with them which is a shame. Hopefully, 2021 will improve and we shall all be glad to say goodbye to 2020!
Thank you for all your kind comments and Favs. it is always much appreciated.
Love this portrait, we have not seen much of the one that visits our garden this year.
I understand your sadness and not being able to see your daughter this Christmas afraid we are in the same boat here today at level three and not being able to see my daughters, son and my grandchildren whom we see as a big gathering on Boxing Day. We are for safety sake reduced to a meeting in the park on boXiang day, socially distanced adults but we might get a knee cuddle off our toddler grandson. My other daughter works in the hospital labs so it’s a no go area. My eldest granddaughter has just had COVID, she’s 17 so was lucky it was just a nasty virus, my daughter said she was locked in her room with a bucket and told to keep the window open!! Luckily her parents didn’t catch it but there is no paint or varnish left in the house with all the cleaning!
Beautiful robin! Like Carol @carolmw I thought we would be in tier 3. Like you our Christmas cancelled and no trip to Devon. Let’s look forward to 2021 and hopefully with the vaccine we will be living a more normal life by Easter! Everything crossed!
A lovely shot - well done Robbie , for being there to remind you that there is still some good in life ! So difficult with Christmas upon us and the covid putting such a blot on our traditions and family get- together ! Like you due to health problems I can not fford to mix ,but make the most of living in a small cocoon with my son ! Stay strong and lets pray 2021 will be a safer place !
Lovely capture Robins are such a delight when we see one . We are going into tier 3 this weekend lets hope things soon improve with the help of the vaccine.
Here's hoping for a better year to come, with lots of time for family and friends face to face! In the meantime, this is a wonderful portrait of the robin, set off well by the greenery.
It's sad that you can't see your family this Christmas but it will be worth it if you get to see them next year. Personally, I will spending Christmas on my own unless I'm in a park as I think the government has got it wrong lifting the restrictions.
For now, just enjoy the Robin singing to you.
