I have had a frustrating morning trying to contact someone to sort out the flood in our front garden. Anglian Water were helpful when I chatted to them on line and suggested that I contact the Environment Agency which I did. They have made a note and will have a look but they suggested I contact Bedford Borough Council and that was a right pain. I had a look on line but couldn't find anything that provided information so I tried phoning them. The first time I hung on for 13 minutes and they said they would transfer me to the right department but sent me back to the Environment Agency. I tried again and after hanging on for 17.5 minutes, I gave up. I then went to have a look on line again and eventually I filled in a form which was incorrect the first time so I tried again. Eventually, I managed to complete it and they have emailed me an acknowlegement but I am not holding out a lot of hope. It's so frustrating.
Thank you for all your kind comments and Favs. It is always much appreciated.
Oh, dear, Rosie. I don't hold out a lot of hope, re your contact with the council, if yours is anything like ours. Apart from things like the bins, and the gritters, most of our council employees seem to be very well paid to sit at home fending off enquires.
We have a big multi storey municipal building, which should have at least 500 people in there every day. It has been locked and shuttered since March with a maximum of 20 people in there.
I think the best you can hope for is an email, promising to come at some future date, probably during next summers drought, to have a look into your lake.
A lovely capture of the sweet dove , but what day you have had !! So frustrating to be passed on from one department to another - and after finally filling a form on line you still wonder if the lake will be dealt with-- keeping my fingers crossed for you !
